Monaco is 33 km by road east of Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE). An express bus runs from both terminals into the principality, and the coastal train leaves from a station a short walk from Terminal 1.
Short answer: the line 80 express bus goes from Terminals 2 and 1 straight to Monaco: about 55 minutes to Place d'Armes for €21.40, roughly every 30–50 minutes from 08:30 to 22:00. The cheaper option is a 7-minute walk from Terminal 1 to Nice Saint-Augustin and the TER train to Monaco-Monte-Carlo (about 32 minutes, fares from €6.00). By car it is 33 km, about 36 minutes without traffic. Our private transfer costs €70 per car (1–3 passengers) and €100 per van (4–8).

The regional ZOU! line 80 express runs Nice Airport – Monaco – Menton every day. It starts at Terminal 2 (bay 1, arrivals level) and calls at Terminal 1 (arrivals level, exit door A0) five minutes later. In the timetable valid from 29 September 2026 the first bus leaves Terminal 2 at 08:30 and the last at 22:00, with 23 departures a day. The 08:30 bus reaches Monaco Place d'Armes at 09:25; the bus then stops at Princesse Antoinette, Sainte-Dévote station, Monte-Carlo and Grimaldi Forum. A one-way ticket costs €21.40 online, at the Terminal 2 service desk or by tapping a bank card on the validator on board (€21.80 if bought as a ticket from the driver).
Nice Saint-Augustin station is under 500 m from the airport: a dedicated walkway takes about 7 minutes from Terminal 1, exit door A0. A free tram links Terminal 2 with Terminal 1 and the station area. TER trains on the Cannes – Nice – Monaco – Menton line run every 15 minutes on weekdays from 05:50 to 22:00, then every 30 minutes until 23:30. Trains from Saint-Augustin reach Monaco-Monte-Carlo in about 32 minutes, and SNCF Connect lists fares from €6.00. Monaco's station is underground, with exits towards Monte-Carlo and the port.
Tram line 2 runs from both terminals to the city centre (Jean Médecin) in under 30 minutes, every 7 to 8 minutes on weekdays. Airport tram stops need a specific ticket: the Aéro ticket costs €10.00 for a return trip. From Jean Médecin it is a walk to Nice-Ville station, where the fastest TER to Monaco takes 22 minutes. This only makes sense if you want to stop in Nice on the way.
The road route is about 33 km on the A8 motorway, about 36 minutes without traffic; the coastal Basse Corniche is slower but scenic. During the Monaco Grand Prix in May many streets in the principality are closed and traffic along the coast is heavy.
